‘Russian criminals’ behind hospitals cyber attack

Russian hackers are reportedly responsible for a cyberattack on several major London hospitals, according to Ciaran Martin, the former CEO of the National Cyber Security Centre. The hackers were allegedly motivated by money and targeted Synnovis, a company providing pathology services, causing system failures, and disruptions to services like blood transfusions. Some operations were cancelled as a result and others were diverted due to the incident.
