‘Russian criminals’ behind London hospitals cyber attack

Russian hackers from a group named Qilin have carried out a cyber attack on major London hospitals, disrupting services and forcing cancellations of operations, according to the ex-CEO of the National Cyber Security Centre, Ciaran Martin. The ransomware attack affected services including blood transfusions and testing. Those affected include St Thomas’, the Royal Brompton, the Evelina London Children’s Hospital, and primary care services.
