A Russian cybercriminal group, Qilin, is likely behind the hack on pathology services that affected various major London hospitals, according to former National Cyber Security Centre CEO, Ciaran Martin. Procedures and operations were cancelled as a result of the attack on Synnovis, creating significant disruption in the primary healthcare sector. The hackers were likely not aware of the extent of disruption they would cause.
