The Synnovis pathology firm suffered a cyber attack by a Russian group named Qilin, which has significantly disrupted UK healthcare services. The impact was felt at various hospitals and primary care services, particularly in south-east London, leading to a severe reduction in capacity. Qilin is known to have previously attacked several international organisations. The attack has led to cancellations and redirections of surgeries and has made crucial test results inaccessible.
