Russian developer of Trickbot malware pleads guilty, faces 35-year sentence
Russian national Vladimir Dunaev pleaded guilty in a US federal court for his involvement in developing and deploying the Trickbot malware. Dunaev was responsible for harvesting credentials and data from infected computers, causing tens of millions of dollars in losses for US institutions and individuals. He faces up to 35 years in prison. The Trickbot malware reportedly stole more than $180 million worldwide.
