Russian gang ‘behind NHS cyber attack’ that sparked chaos in 5 London hospitals

A group of Russian cyber criminals known as Qilin are suspected to have orchestrated a ransomware attack that disrupted activities in various London hospitals. The attack targeted pathology services provider Synnovis, forcing operations and tests to be cancelled, and halting blood transfusions. Reports indicate that Qilin operates a “ransomware-as-a-service” model and is notorious for attacks across the globe.
