Russian state hackers spread USB worm worldwide

Cybersecurity experts have discovered a USB-based “worm” developed by Russian state-backed hackers targeting Ukraine but is now spreading worldwide. The malware, named LitterDrifter, spreads through hidden files in USB drives, transmitting victim’s data back to the attackers. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has led to near-constant digital attacks on the country, including those on Ukraine’s allies and NATO partners.
