Santander Flags Data Breach Hitting Some Clients, All Staff

Banco Santander has reported unauthorised access to a database hosted by a third-party provider, stating that information related to customers in Chile, Spain, and Uruguay, as well as current and former employees, may have been accessed. No transactional data was contained in the database. The bank is developing a new IT platform in response to increased cyber threats.
