Security issues keep cropping up: Cisco vulnerability joins Samsam, Spectre and Meltdown in new roster

In the beginning of the new year, several security vulnerabilities have emerged including Samsam, Spectre, Meltdown, and cyber flaws in Cisco and Smiths Medical products. Cisco and Smiths Medical have released software patches to fix the issues, while Intel is working on a fix for Spectre and Meltdown. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is also an upcoming concern for hospitals and other organizations.
