Senate holds Steward Health CEO in contempt of Congress
The Senate has unanimously voted to hold Ralph de la Torre, CEO of Steward Health Care, in contempt of Congress for refusing to testify under subpoena at a hearing. This marks the first time the Senate has held someone in criminal contempt since 1971. The case will be passed on to the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia for criminal prosecution.
