Sensitive data stolen from blood test provider by criminal group ‘published online’
Patient information hacked from Synnovis, a provider of pathology services for the NHS, has reportedly been published online by a criminal group following a ransomware attack by a Russian group on 3 June. The published data includes patient names, birth dates, NHS numbers, and descriptions of blood tests. Synnovis is working with NHS England, the National Cyber Security Centre and other partners to identify the content of the published files.
