Sensitive records office data accessed in cyber attack on health board

The National Records of Scotland (NRS) suffered a cyberattack involving sensitive data of fewer than 50 people, who were placed at risk. Information was accessed from statutory birth, death and marriage registers. A live criminal investigation is currently underway with the Scottish Government, Police Scotland and NHS Dumfries and Galloway.
