Separate health data breaches impact Murfreesboro Medical, others

Three US healthcare providers, Murfreesboro Medical Clinic & SurgiCenter, Activate Healthcare, and Mount Desert Island Hospital have been hit by separate cyberattacks between April and May, affecting a total of 559,000 individuals. The compromised data includes patient and employee names, addresses, diagnostic data, social security numbers, insurance enrollments and financial information.
