Small practices left vulnerable after Change Healthcare cyberattack, with some considering bankruptcy

A survey by the American Medical Association (AMA) has found that the disruption caused by a recent cyberattack is putting significant financial strain on many small medical practices, with 78% of respondents running practices of 10 or fewer physicians. Over a third reported ongoing suspensions in payments, while 32% could not submit requests and 22% could not verify patient benefit eligibility.
