SonicWall patches critical flaw affecting its firewalls (CVE-2024-40766)

SonicWall has fixed a critical security flaw in its next-gen firewalls, preventing unauthorized remote access to resources and crash risks. The vulnerability affected devices from gens 5, 6, and 7 running Sonic OS versions below 7.0.1-5035. Users are advised to update their firmware or restrict firewall access to trusted sources. No exploitation of the flaw has been reported so far.
