Sony confirms data breach impacting thousands of workers

Sony confirmed that a flaw in the MOVEit managed file transfer software allowed hackers to steal sensitive personal data of current and former employees during an attack on May 28. The breach affected 6,791 people in the U.S. and the data was subsequently listed and sold by Russian ransomware actor Cl0p. The incident is considered one of the biggest cyber breaches in recent times.
