Sony confirms data breach impacting thousands of workers

Sony confirmed a cyber breach, where personal data from nearly 7,000 US employees was stolen via a vulnerability in the MOVEit managed file transfer software. The Russian ransom group, Cl0p, is suspected to be behind this, having listed Sony on its data leak site and started selling the stolen data, indicating Sony refused to negotiate a ransom.
