South east London appointments delayed due to NHS cyber attack

Russian hacking group Qilin cyberattacked Synnovis, a pathology service provider, in June, leading to postponed appointments and operations across NHS trusts. The group leaked nearly 400GB of data, including patient details and blood test descriptions, online, impacting around 3,400 outpatient appointments and 1,200 elective procedures. Pathology services are currently functioning at 45% of their prior capacity for urgent cases.
