Steam Store Spreads Malware After Hacker Hijacks Developer Accounts

The Steam online store was used to spread malware after a hacker breached several game developer accounts. Less than 100 users were affected and they have been warned. To avoid future attacks, Valve is asking developers to enroll in two-factor authentication using SMS, which has sparked complaints due its vulnerability to SIM swap and phishing attacks. The affected games and their developers have not been identified.
