Steward loses money on Massachusetts hospital sales; CEO snubs Senate
Steward Health Care, a bankrupt physician-owned network, has received court approval to sell six of its Massachusetts hospitals for $243 million as it exits operations in the state. However, this heavily contested transaction leaves Steward around $17million further in debt after adjustments and closing costs, according to partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, Candace Arthur.
