StripedFly malware framework infects 1 million Windows, Linux hosts
The StripedFly malware infected over a million Windows and Linux systems undetected for five years, according to cybersecurity firm Kaspersky. The platform, featuring automated updating mechanisms and advanced hiding tactics, was wrongly designated as just a Monero cryptocurrency miner at first. StripedFly is now recognized as an Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) malware which may have been used for revenue generation or cyberespionage.
