Students scramble after security breach wipes 13,000 devices

A cyber breach has caused around 13,000 students in Singapore to lose their data on school-issued iPads and Chromebooks. The mobile device management app Mobile Guardian, currently used by public schools in the country since 2020, reportedly suffered a global security incident, causing a few devices to be wiped remotely. The app’s services have been halted and the Ministry of Education will remove it from all devices.
