Supply Chain Attack Hits NHS Ambulance Trusts

siteadmin July 27, 2023

Two UK ambulance trusts serving about 12 million people are operating manually after an attack on an NHS datacentre left them without access to electronic patient records. Neither South Central Ambulance Service nor South Western Ambulance Service have commented publicly on the incident, involving Swedish healthcare IT firm Ortivus. No patients have been directly affected, but the lack of access to records could impact the standard of care.
