Surgeons to work during junior doctor strike at London hospitals hit by cyber attack

COVID-19 testing in London hospitals has been impeded by a Russian cyberattack on pathology firm Synnovis. As a consequence, the British Medical Association (BMA) has given surgeons permission to cross picket lines during a strike to prevent delays in cancer care. The BMA is striking over a salary dispute, and the cyberattack has led to the cancellation of hundreds of operations and appointments.
