Survey: Consumers Don’t Trust Big Tech to Handle Their Health Data

The number of US healthcare data breaches have doubled over the past three years, affecting 40 million Americans in 2022, according to a Department of Health and Human Services report. A Health Gorilla survey found 95% of respondents worried about their records being leaked and just 14% fully trusted Big Tech firms, like Amazon, Google and Meta, entering the healthcare sector.
