Swedish healthcare advice line stored 2.7 million patient phone calls on unprotected web server
Recordings of 170,000 hours of calls made to the Vårdguiden 1177 healthcare line in Sweden were left unsecured on an open web server. The breach, which occurred in three regions of the country, has raised concerns about patient safety and data protection. MedHelp, the company running the service, has shut down the server and is conducting an investigation. This incident is being called the worst privacy breach in Sweden in recent times.
