Synnovis CEO confirms ransomware attack at London hospitals

A ransomware attack on pathology service provider Synnovis has disrupted its IT systems, affecting patient activity and forcing cancellations. Synnovis is a pathology joint venture of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, King’s College Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and SYNLAB. This has significantly impacted services, predominantly blood transfusions. SYNLAB Italia is also believed to have been affected, with disruptions at laboratories and medical centres.
