System Shock: How A Cloud Leak Exposed Accenture’s Business
Accenture, one of the world’s largest consulting firms, left at least four cloud storage buckets unsecured and publicly downloadable, resulting in a data exposure that revealed secret API data, authentication credentials, decryption keys, customer information and more. The organisation’s enterprise cloud offering, the Accenture Cloud Platform, was compromised, and the exposed data offered the potential for critical secondary assaults on Accenture’s clients, which include 94 of the Fortune Global 100 and over three quarters of the Fortune Global 500.
