T-Mobile sounds the alarm over unblockable SMS phishing attacks

T-Mobile has alerted its users to a smishing campaign that looks to steal personal information and install malware. The company was warned of the threat by New Jersey’s Cybersecurity/Communications Integration Cell after it was informed by multiple T-Mobile customers who received suspicious group text messages. These scams were likely enabled by past data breaches, which T-Mobile has seen seven of over the last four years.
