Taiwan-based tech firms targeted by Chinese hackers, says Google

Taiwan has experienced a substantial surge in cyberattacks from China over the past six months, warns Google cyber security expert, Kate Morgan. Chinese hackers have infiltrated small home and office internet routers, while technology firms and cloud-based clientele continue to be targeted. These ongoing attacks have led to Taiwan becoming the most targeted place worldwide, with around 1,509 cyberattacks occurring weekly in 2023.
