Tally of victims reaches 100,000 in NHS cyber-attack
The NHS in southwest Scotland has warned over 100,000 patients that their data is likely to have been leaked after a cyber-attack. The health board plans to send alerts via leaflets and individual contact for “high risk” patients. The breach, described as “extremely serious” by the health board chief executive, was caused by a ransomware attack launched by Inc Ransom in February.
