Texas Hospital hacked, affects nearly 30,000 patient records
Integrity Transitional Hospital in Denton, Texas, has reported a hacking incident that may have affected the records of 29,514 patients. The hospital noticed suspicious activity on its network on August 15 and determined that health insurance information, scanned driver’s licenses, and data from laboratory exchanges were breached. Social Security numbers, financial data, and other account information were not accessed. The hospital has notified affected individuals and is working to enhance security measures.
