The digital health sector in South Korea: A promising investment target for global companies
South Korea’s digital health sector is growing rapidly, with the government encouraging investments and plans to establish 18 smart hospitals by 2025. The AI-based healthcare market is expected to expand from $257 million in 2020 to reach $2.1 billion by 2025. Despite remote telemedicine being prohibited, 54% of South Koreans are open to it, presenting a potential market worth $1.9 billion. The K-HOSPITAL+HEALTH TECH FAIR in Seoul on 14-16 September 2023 will highlight advancements in the sector.
