The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Community Pharmacy England has created a range of guides and resources to help pharmacy contractors comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018. The legislation, which came into force on 25 May, has significantly changed data protection laws, and has empowered the Information Commissioner’s Office to impose larger fines for data breaches. Organisations are also required to notify the authority of breaches in a more timely manner than before.
