He notes that despite being the second most common cause of cancer death, colorectal cancer is very preventable, especially when detected early. He advocates for more accurate and reliable non-invasive screening and an increased use of colonoscopy and the at-home screening method, Cologuard®, both of which have been shown to successfully detect more than 90% of colorectal cancers.
