The Next Wave of Log4J Attacks Will Be Brutal
A vulnerability in the popular open source library Log4j has created a severe security risk with the potential for widespread hacking attacks. While the initial wave of attacks has mainly consisted of cryptominers, there are concerns that ransomware and more disruptive attacks are imminent. The vulnerability, dubbed Log4Shell, is easy to exploit and the scale of its potential impact is described as “the single biggest, most critical vulnerability ever” by the CEO of cybersecurity firm Tenable.
