The ransomware attack is all about the insufficient funding of the NHS | Charles Arthur

Britain’s hospitals are using outdated computer systems which has left them vulnerable to cyber attacks, said a report in The Guardian. The malware attack that saw hospital computer systems across the country hit by ransomware, a kind of malware that encrypts all information until the victim pays a ransom, was the result of Windows operating systems that were launched over a year ago and are no longer supported. NHS expenditure on IT security is considered haphazard and utterly inadequate, said the report.
