The Security and Business Impact of Log4J
A severe vulnerability was discovered in log4j, a widely used open-source Java-based data logging tool, that can be exploited through a “Zero Day” attack. The flaw allows attackers to force a system to execute any code they choose. Log4j is embedded in many products and experts anticipate that nearly every company, including Windows, Linux and Apple users, may be affected. While Apache has released an update, it won’t solve the issue for older, obsolete software that might go unpatched.
