TheDarkOverLord strikes again but health data breaches down in October

The number of breach incidents at healthcare organizations and the total number of patient records breached decreased in October 2016, following a summer of record-setting healthcare breaches. However, the number of incidents is still higher than earlier in the year. 40% of the breaches in October were hacking incidents, while 37% were caused by insiders. The drop in pricing for medical records on the dark web makes it uncertain if the current trend will continue.
