Over 1 million residents of New Jersey have been impacted by data breaches in the last two years, with public institutions among the 30 incidents currently under investigation. The vulnerabilities included patients’ personal and health information. Major breaches occurred at the Bridgewater-Raritan school district, the NJ Department of Human Services, and University Hospital. In most cases, victims were offered credit monitoring and ID protection services.
