This dangerous new Mac malware steals your credit card info

Apple Mac users are under threat from a new strain of malware. Dubbed MetaStealer, the malware tricks users into installing it then steals passwords, credit card data and more. It often disguises itself as a PDF file and targets not only the usual keychain data, but also Telegram and Meta apps. The malware has been built to run on Intel-based Macs, which Apple is phasing out but are still relevant due to Apple’s translation app, Rosetta. This allows Intel apps to run on Apple silicon Macs.
