This is what makes most healthcare institutes vulnerable to hacker attacks

Healthcare organisations are increasingly being targeted by cybercriminals, with almost 60% of such institutions having experienced a cyberattack in the last year. Despite attempts to disrupt these attacks, nearly 75% of the ransomware attacks were successful in encrypting data. The number of establishments succumbing to ransom demands decreased, although recovery from these attacks is taking longer. A recent cyberattack on the Indian Council of Medical Research leaked private information of 81 crore Indians, marking potentially the largest data breach in Indian history.
