A sophisticated malware campaign has captured banking data from over 50,000 people across 40 global banks, according to IBM. The malware modifies web content when a user visits a malicious site, allowing the attacker to intercept passwords and one-time passwords. IBM says the malware is more stealthy than previous examples as it escapes detection by static analysis checks. IBM was unable to identify the culprits but suggested the hack resembled the DanaBot trojan.
