Thousands of blood test samples set to be destroyed after NHS cyberattack

A cyber-attack has crippled services at GP practices in London, leaving them capable of performing only 400 of their typical 10,000 daily blood tests. Thousands of patient samples are set for destruction in the attack, believed to have been carried out by Russian cybercriminals. The practices targeted are predominantly located in the south London boroughs of Bromley, Southwark, Lambeth, Bexley, Greenwich, and Lewisham.
