Thousands of blood test samples set to be destroyed after NHS cyberattack

A cyberattack, believed to have been conducted by Russian cybercriminals, has drastically limited blood testing capabilities at GP practices run by Synnovis in London. Able to complete just 400 of its usual 10,000 daily blood tests, thousands of patient samples may have to be destroyed. The hack has disrupted services at Guy’s and St. Thomas NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
