Thousands of hospital appointments and procedures postponed after cyber attack

Since a June 3 cyberattack on Synnovis, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust have postponed nearly 6,500 appointments and procedures. While most NHS services operate at near-normal levels, pathology services only operate at 54% of their pre-attack capacity. Officials urge individuals with O-type blood to donate, while a helpline has been established for victims of the resulting data breach.
