Thousands of hospital appointments and procedures postponed after cyber attack
Over 6,000 procedures and appointments at major London hospitals have been postponed due to a June cyber attack. Cyber criminals targeted pathology provider Synnovis with a ransomware attack, later publishing stolen data online. NHS officials are urging blood donations, particularly of type O, as the hospitals grapple with the aftermath of the attack.
