Thousands of hospital appointments and procedures postponed after cyber attack
More than 6,000 appointments and procedures have been postponed at King’s College, Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals in London due to a cyber attack. Most services are near normal levels and officials hope to be fully operational soon. However, pathology services are at 54% of capacity. A Russian cyber gang reportedly shared almost 400GB of data, including patient names, birth dates, NHS numbers and blood tests descriptions online.
