Threat Actors Deliver DarkGate Malware via Skype, Teams Chats

Researchers have found hackers utilizing compromised Skype and Microsoft Teams accounts to spread a malware called DarkGate that targets businesses, mostly in the Americas. The group infiltrated chat threads and sent seemingly innocuous files and links loaded with the harmful code to unsuspecting victims. Researchers noted the need for enhanced security measures, including multi-factor authentication and strict controls over attachments and external domains.
