Ticketmaster customer data ‘accessed in cyber attack’

Ticketmaster has suffered a cyberattack, with the ShinyHunters hacking group allegedly stealing the personal data of 560 million customers and demanding a £400,000 ransom to prevent the data being sold on the dark web. The hackers supposedly gained access to customers’ names, addresses, phone numbers and partial payment details. Mum on the matter, Ticketmaster has prompted calls for companies to prioritise data protection.
